In the past, we had so many dark spots around the temple and outside the gate which were a threat to security. The security light we had installed earlier was not very efficient and so costly since it uses electricity.
The way to avoid this was to install solar-powered security lights in these dark spots. A two-head flood lights was installed behind the temple in our little vegetable garden which hits light in two sides. It auto-switch only when it is dark time (night). Another light with a sensitively configurable motion detector was successfully installed at the gate. Its lights only come at night when it is dark, and the motion sensor trips when it senses any movement in the area.
The cost and installation expenses of these two security lights amounted to Ugx 3,700,000, and our hope is that it will be sustainable.
