After spending three days in Taiwan during his Dhamma mission, Bhante was called in for the IBC annual general meeting which was held December 10-11, 2017 in New Delhi, India.
The meeting aimed at strengthening ways to propagate Dhamma and appoint new officers. Among these were 12 vice presidents elected from different countries to bring extensive management expertise from a diverse range of experiences.
Bhante Buddharakkhita is among the newly appointed vice presidents. Prior to being appointed as vice president, he was a Member to the Confederation.

The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) is one of the biggest Buddhist confederation, based in Delhi, India. The Confederation aims at structuring a foundation for the development and propagation of Buddhism throughout the world.
